I have always enjoyed going to art galleries.  My favourite artists are the pre-raphalites.

I started painting when I retired from teaching 8 years ago having been told at school to give it up as soon as possible.

We went to an exhibition of local artists and saw some botanical art which made me want to have a go. I did and found I enjoyed it.

My favourite medium is watercolour although I now quite enjoy acrylics as well. I enjoy painting flowers.

I have recently started working in graphite which I really enjoy.

the One I Adore.jpg

"The One I Adore"

This is a portrait of my much loved darling John.  I used a photograph of him that I took of him especially for this project on skin textures which we did with Fabiano.  I feel I have caught him to a T - a caring, loving and generous man of God.

"   Tawny Owl"

I enjoyed drawing this picture of the Tawney owl.  I found the shading difficult but managed to make it look lifelike in the end.
